About

In January of 2007, we sat across a table from Robert Grindley, listening to him describe the vision he and his wife Mary had for the Children of Promise Orphan Project. As we heard him talk about the HIV/Aids pandemic in Botswana, Africa, and the affect it is having on families, especially children, tears began to stream down all of our faces. We knew then that we had a connection to Rob & Mary’s Branch Ministries, and the country of Botswana.

After three years of supporting their ministry, God put it on our hearts to go to Botswana to help. Rob and Mary had begun construction of the orphan homes, started three churches, were running Powerhouse Sports, and had many other ministry activities going on.

In August of 2010, we moved to Selebi-Phikwe, a mining town with a population of about 45,000 people, and location of the highest HIV/Aids infections in the country.  We hit the ground running as we joined a very busy ministry.

We have grown to love this country, and the people that God sent us here to serve. Please enjoy the journey with us as you read our blog posts…
